Dissertation: The social context of inclusion law: A three-country study.
We gained permission to visit a number of schools in Rome,
including a preschool, elementary, and middle school. With the
help of our translator Cathy Mattoli, we had some wonderful discussions
on teaching methods for including students with disabilities, and the
differences between the Italian and U.S. systems. There was a strong
emphasis on examining inclusion in this course, since Italy integrates
every student with a disability into his/her home
school.
