Bruce Montes

 
 

I am the Director for Academic Technology Services in the ITS Division at Loyola University Chicago. In my current role, I oversee the academic support operations for the division including: supporting students, faculty, and staff with mastering the use of current technologies.  I have served in multiple capacities at Loyola for over 35 years and have extensive experience in the use of technology in higher education.


I am an active member of many professional organizations including:

  3. •Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)

  4. •Educause Learning Initiative (ELI)

I hold an M.Ed in Instructional Technology and a B.A. in Communication from Loyola University Chicago.  I also teach part time for Loyola’s:

  3. •School of Professional Studies for professional workshops

I am passionate about using, exploring, and learning about technology.  I enjoy studying learning environments, neuroscience as it relates to learning, and helping people to learn about and use technology.

I am an experienced videographer and I volunteer when I can.  I have produced sports training and highlight videos for high school and college athletes, family history videos, and some graphics, learning objects, and other media for various activities.
