Final Project Specifics

Final web project: Due May 2nd

Point Value: 40 points

Extra Credit Possible: 10 points

Requirements:

• You must compose a web page using correct HTML 4.0 tags. The page must be named index.html and include the following components:
• Minumun of 5 working links
• Minimum of 3 images in the .gif or .jpg file format
• Minimum of 1 table
• Must include the email address where you want you project grade sent.
• You must set the page background color/image. (using CSS will gain you extra credit… see below).
• You must also define the pages text, link, visted link and active link colors.
• Your project must be on a specific topic.
• All the information should be accurate.
• The page should include your contact information and the date the page was created.
• Your page must be mounted on the orion web server in your personal account directory, with the correct directory and page permissions set in order for the public to view your web page on the WWW. (Pages mounted on an account other than you own will not be counted).

Grading Criteria and Extra Credit:

Your project will be graded on the following critieria:

• Proper HTML 4.0 coding = 10 points
• Web Page Design =10 points
• Site Architecture =10 points
• Annotations/likes/dislikes=5 points
• Page Sketch = 5 points

Extra Credit worth up to 10 points can be gained by incorporating any of the following into your webpage:

• CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) = 5 points
• Java Script = 5 points
• Navigational Element = 5 points
