Class Conduct My classes are organized around the philosophy of the classroom as a learning environment, with teamwork as a crucial component. Students usually have to spend an average of two hours a week outside class in team meetings. The concepts covered in the text are reviewed in class, and then applied in class activities and self-awareness exercises. Therefore, students are expected to read class material in detail beforehand and participate in class discussions. I encourage students to engage in cooperative learning through weekly interaction with team members, an ongoing team project culminating in team workshop presentations, and journals and personal growth analyses. Students are provided with class readers and activities developed specifically for this course. Students evaluate their team behavior and team dynamics by applying concepts to their class team and to the organizational teams they investigate.
