MBA/MSISM
1st Year
After carefully examining all of the specializations Mr.
Garretto could attain for his MBA, he came to the decision
ultimately of International Business and Finance. Being
that our economy’s entire backbone is created from historical
financial theoretical models, it comes as no surprise when he is
told that the future of financial theories lies in only the most
dedicated of Business students throughout the country.
Mr. Garretto first
became interested in finance when, after graduating from Bentley
College in Waltham, MA, he landed his first job as an assistant
to Norfolk County’s Budgeting officer. It was there that
he began to see the relationship between efficient budgeting and
successful allocation to the different departments at the
county. However, there seemed a need for a separate budgeting
officer whom would be able to determine the accumulation in
value of money invested with different financial instruments,
all while taking risk and return into consideration. It
was during that time that he developed a professional interest
in furthering his financial knowledge in that area.
While currently working for Bank of America on a part time
basis, he is exposed to many investment officers at domestic and
global levels. He has expressed interest to management at
Bank of America that upon completion of his MBA, he wishes to
pursue a position at Bank of America in the investment sector.
