Mr. Nicholas
Johnson is a senior studying finance at Loyola
University's School of Business. One of Mr. Johnson's talents
is his entrepreneurial leadership and recruiting skills he
learned while being President and founder of his fraternity.
The opportunity to work with and truly help people on a personal
level and the intellectual challenge of creating wealth through
investing are what draw him to this field and the Investment
Banking and Financial Markets Club. With regard to experiences
related directly to the club, in this past school year he has
interned at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and is
currently interning at North Star Investment Management
Corporation. Additionally, he has done extensive reading on the
subject of investing on his own. It is possible that he has
gleaned as much knowledge of the field from reading the likes of
Benjamin Graham as he has in the classroom. He feels that
Graham’s quantitative and straightforward approach, value
investing, detailed in “The Intelligent Investor” provides
vitally fundamental knowledge that is largely omitted in many
curricula.
