Mr. Nguyen
is currently an MBA candidate that will be graduating in May of 2006
with an emphasis in Finance. He had a brief stint working in a
sales-support environment for a global conferencing company in Chicago.
While he was extremely successful having won Sales Associate of the Year
Award in 2003, his college background in Economics and passion for the
financial markets were not being utilized. After which, he decided
to pursue the MBA program at Loyola for two reasons: to acquire the
necessary financial skills for his future career and to develop a
holistic view on the financial markets. To those ends, he has been
actively taking finance courses that are most relevant to his career
goals. Additionally, to broaden his view on different actual
job areas, he interned briefly at National Securities Corporation and
the Chicago Board of Trade. He is also a member of the Loyola
Strategic Consulting Group, a micro-enterprising consulting unit that
allow student members to work with small businesses in Chicago on ad-hoc
projects. In February of 2006, he attended and competed in the
Credit Risk Case Competition at Halifax University in Canada.
He is interested in the Research and M&A functions within
Investment Banking. Nevertheless, he certainly has the
well rounded background to explore other such opportunities if
they were to arise.
