Ms.
Pawani recently completed her MBA at Loyola University Chicago with
specializations in Finance and Derivative Markets. She completed
her Bachelors degree in Accounting from Mumbai University, India.
At Loyola, she was very involved with helping launch several social
events catered to the Graduate School of Business. For example,
she was the Marketing team leader in organizing “International Night,
2006” one the the GSB's showcase events. Shweta was also voted
“Cultural Secretary” of the Indian Student Association while studying at
Loyola.
While pursuing her MBA, Shweta
gained tremendous exposure in the financial sector by working
for Merrill Lynch - Global Private Client Group as a Finance
Intern for a duration of ten months. She worked for two
senior Financial Advisors where she was fortunate to be mentored
in the diverse arena of the securities markets. She completed
many assignments at Merrill Lynch which included: Equity
Research, maintaining client relationships and portfolios,
calculating gains and losses made by client’s portfolio,
recommending Financial Advisors to buy, sell or hold stocks,
etcetera. During her term at Merrill Lynch, her knowledge and
expertise in the areas of equity, debt, trading, and asset
management were undoubtedly amplified. She also traded a
million dollar hypothetical portfolio for ten weeks where her
portfolio increased by 5.28% versus the S&P benchmark which rose
by 2.9%.
Shweta’s focus is to pursue a
career in Investment Banking. Her superior analytical and
quantitative skills, diligent work ethic, and passion for the
financial markets have molded her into the required fit for an
analyst in I-Banking. She quotes “My professional aim is
to grow in every stage of my career; hence I wish to work in the
M&A and Research fields where the constant effort of an
organization is to grow efficiently.”
