MBA 1st Year

Mr. Cornell became confident after researching the IB&FM Club that it would provide him with an excellent channel for both networking and learning.  Through his past experiences, he provides the club with ideas, experience, and personal contributions which certainly is a sound factor to the club’s growth.  Prior to enrolling at LUC’s MBA program, he was working as an Analyst for ACNielsen consulting one of the largest and most profitable clients; Nestle USA.  He was the youngest team member across the entire account with responsibilities that had consistently increased over time.  On a daily basis, he presented in-depth market and financial analyses to senior level management.  Through these presentations, he provided insight for high-impact sales and financial decisions.  This position required extreme attention to detail, ability to transform data in to information, and the ability to build a positive relationship with the client.  The skills obtained during his experiences create added-value for the Investment Banking & Financial Markets Club.  He also provides the IB&FMC with insight in to the consultant side of business, along with the CPG (consumer packaged goods) side of business.

After spending time working with top financial managers at Nestle, he became fascinated with the financial industry.  He then obtained a leading role with the “Blended Margin Analysis Team”.  After finding success within this function, he decided to pursue a career in corporate finance.  He possesses solid background in market research, but would like to extend his knowledge-base in to the financial research industry.

He joined the IB&FMC to gain a competitive advantage in his search for a career in corporate finance.  He quotes, "By joining this impressive network of fellow students & alumni (with similar career goals), it will serve beneficial on both a professional and personal level."  He is excited to learn from other club members, and to also give back providing his own experiences and knowledge.
