Problem: You are to use SPSS  to descriptively analyze the variables and, also, graph the variables using  box plot method.  Compare and contrast the systolic and diastolic blood pressures (mm Hg) for 15 patients with hypertension, immediately before and two hours after taking a drug, Captopril. The interest is in investigating the response to the drug treatment.
 
 

Use the following "SPSS trail" to perform your analysis......

Analyze --> Descriptive Statistics --> Descriptives
Choose to include the:   Mean, Variance, Standard Deviation, Minimum, Maximum, Range, and Skew

Graph --  box plot:
Select Simple Box plot with summaries for separate variables.    Graph all four variables [exclude patient number] on the same graph
When complete, please prepare a brief report explaining your results. Transfer your graphs to Word and prepare the actual text. See the model for completion of homework.
